Role Description The Montessori Toddler Lead Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in Minneapolis, MN. This role is responsible for leading a toddler classroom, preparing and maintaining an engaging Montessori environment, and guiding children through developmentally appropriate lessons and activities. Daily tasks include planning and presenting lessons, observing and documenting children’s progress, supporting social-emotional growth, and ensuring a safe, orderly, and caring classroom. The Lead Teacher collaborates with assistant teachers, communicates regularly with families, and participates in staff meetings, professional development, and school events to support the overall program.

Qualifications
- Strong Teaching and Education skills, including experience leading early childhood or toddler classrooms.
- Demonstrated ability in Lesson Planning and Training to design and implement developmentally appropriate, Montessori-aligned activities.
- Excellent Communication skills for interacting with children, families, and colleagues in a clear, respectful, and professional manner.
- Montessori training or certification for the toddler age group, or willingness to pursue Montessori education.
- Experience working with children ages 18 months–3 years in a group setting, preferably in a Montessori or similar child-centered environment.
- Ability to maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom that honors diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
- Relevant education in Early Childhood Education or a related field; meeting or exceeding state licensing requirements.
- Reliability, patience, and a collaborative approach to working on a teaching team.
