Role Description
The Major Gifts Officer (repost) is a full-time, on-site role based in Wayne, NJ with a satellite office location in Elizabeth, NJ. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing the organization’s major giving portfolio. Your day-to-day tasks will include cultivating relationships with donors and prospective supporters, overseeing planned and annual giving programs, conducting prospect research, developing strategies for donor engagement, and facilitating philanthropic partnerships. This role will require effective collaboration with leadership and alignment with the organization’s mission to help children in need.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Planned Giving and Annual Giving strategies to generate sustainable funding streams
- Proficiency in Prospect Research to identify and evaluate potential donors and funding opportunities
- Strong experience in Philanthropy and Alumni Relations to build and maintain long-lasting relationships with donors and supporters
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in an on-site team environment with a commitment to the organization’s mission
- Fundraising experience in a non-profit or child welfare organization is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, or related field
