Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards such as Montessori or other early childhood frameworks
- Support classroom management by helping maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for children of various developmental stages
- Engage children in activities that promote literacy education, numeracy skills, and social-emotional learning
- Provide individualized attention to children with special needs or disabilities, including those with autism or behavioral challenges
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, nap times, and transitions to ensure safety and positive behavior management
- Collaborate with teachers to monitor each child's progress and communicate observations effectively to support their developmental milestones
- Assist with classroom setup, materials preparation, and maintaining cleanliness to ensure an optimal learning space
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and classroom management techniques
- Familiarity with special education strategies and working with individuals with disabilities or autism is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and children
- Ability to implement lesson plans focused on literacy education, math concepts, and behavior management strategies
- Experience with curriculum development or lesson planning is advantageous
- Certification in childcare or early childhood education (such as CPR/First Aid) is desirable but not mandatory
