We’re seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Enrollment Specialist to join our ERSEA Department (Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment & Attendance). This is a vital team position that ensures every eligible child is enrolled, supported, and given the chance to thrive.
What You’ll Do
As an Enrollment Specialist, you will:
- Support the ERSEA Department with recruitment events, eligibility interviews, applications, waitlist management, and accurate data entry.
- Monitor attendance and help ensure classrooms meet Head Start compliance standards.
- Provide excellent customer service to families by answering questions, guiding them through paperwork, and ensuring a smooth enrollment process.
- Use ChildPlus (training provided) to maintain accurate records and generate reports.
- Partner with Family Advocates, Center Coordinators, and classroom staff to keep slots filled and families engaged.
- Assist with transportation of school-age children, safely driving agency cargo vans between their public school and Head Start center.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or degree in Early Childhood, Education, or Social Services preferred.
- Strong people skills; warm, approachable, and patient with families.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with data and records.
- Valid New Mexico driver’s license and good driving record (required for cargo van duties).
- Experience in early childhood education, enrollment/admissions, or customer service is a plus.
