SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Job Summary: Judiciary Juvenile Substance Abuse Treatment Program – Clinical Supervisor
Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Clinical Supervisor provides clinical oversight of all juvenile substance abuse treatment services, including assessment review and approval, treatment planning, and discharge planning. This role delivers ongoing supervision, coaching, and support to Youth Development Services (YDS) II staff to ensure high-quality service delivery, accurate documentation, and adherence to clinical standards. In collaboration with the Program Director II, the Clinical Supervisor coordinates with referring Judiciary staff, participates in case consultations as requested, and ensures program quality assurance, compliance, and reporting requirements are consistently met. This position is scheduled for 12 hours per week.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
- Master's Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency in health or human service field.
- Other: Three years’ experience in providing child and adolescent mental health services.
Credentialing Requirements:
- Certified Substance Abuse Counselor
Supervisory Experience:
- At least one-year supervisory experience is strongly preferred
EXPERIENCE
- Over three years, up to and including six years’ experience.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Demonstrated experience working with adolescents and at-risk youth involved in the juvenile justice system, with a strong foundation in child and adolescent mental health service delivery.
- Proficiency in conducting Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division (ADAD) substance use screenings and comprehensive clinical assessments, including the ability to develop clear, clinically appropriate treatment recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to support accurate documentation, effective assessment, and individualized treatment planning.
- Ability to assess family dynamics, identify strengths and needs, and determine appropriate areas for intervention to support positive client outcomes
- Knowledge of community-based resources and demonstrated ability to connect participants and their families to appropriate supports and services.
- Proven ability to engage and collaborate effectively with families to strengthen parenting skills, encourage participation, and promote long-term stability.
- Ability to ensure service delivery aligns with organizational mission, policies, procedures, and service philosophy.
- Commitment to ethical practice, client-centered service delivery, and culturally responsive care.
