We are currently seeking a talented Assistant Director for our NAEYC-Accredited Early Childhood program at our Groton-Mystic Early Childhood Development Center! Our ideal candidate would have strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities and have excellent attention to detail. We are looking for someone who is reliable, has amazing internal and external communication skills and someone who has the ability to travel to our New London location as needed.
Requirements:
- a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Development, or a related field
- professional childcare experience
- highly preferred supervision experience as a Lead Teacher, Head Teacher, or Site Supervisor
Primary duties:
- recruit, enroll, and welcome families and new employees into the Childcare program
- manage staffing schedules according to NAEYC regulations
- work closely with internal staff to ensure all staff and child files are up to date
- ensure all health and safety policies and procedures comply with OEC Licensing regulations, NAEYC quality standards and funding expectations
- develop and implement effective tuition policies and strategies
- work closely with staff to ensure all child and staff files are up to date and meet all licensing and funding requirements
- complete staff reviews, disciplinary paperwork, and performance improvement plans
- other related duties as assigned
Salary: $50,000-55,000 annually. Bilingual, Spanish/English preferred with significant pay differential offered.
