Communications Specalist

General Responsibilities:

Provide creative design and production support for International Ministries communications. Develop clear, compelling slide decks for internal and external events; design and format ministry newsletters; produce flyers and other visual assets to support U.S.-Sent missionaries, CYIA, and key initiatives. Assist with video projects capturing CPC and field testimonies. Offer behind-the-scenes support for National Directors Institute (NDI) and Guide Retreat events. Maintain brand consistency and high production standards across all outputs, serving the mission to reach Every Child, Every Nation, Every Day. Realizes the importance of the CEF Culture Points and commits to upholding them personally and in the ministry of CEF (the importance of Godly leadership at every level, of the spiritual welfare of our workers, of prayer as our foundation, of evangelizing children, of a clear and Biblical presentation of the Gospel, and of a commitment to excellence, for the glory of God).

Specific Responsibilities:

· Develop visually engaging slide decks for events and leadership presentations using Canva and PowerPoint.

· Design and format newsletters, ensuring clarity, readability, and alignment with brand standards.

· Create flyers, social media graphics, and visual assets to support International Ministries (IM) initiatives.

· Support video production, including planning, coordination, and basic editing for ministry and field testimonies.

· Provide design and logistical support for key events such as the National Directors Institute (NDI) and the Guide Retreat.

· Maintain and organize templates, brand assets, and content libraries for reuse and translation workflows.

· Collaborate with writers, regional teams, and leadership to deliver culturally relevant materials on schedule.

· Manage design requests through a structured queue and communicate timelines with stakeholders.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions:

· 1–3 years of experience in graphic design, communications, or a related field; or equivalent training/portfolio.

· Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Canva for presentation design.

· Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop); video editing skills in Premiere Pro or similar tools desired.

· Strong understanding of layout, typography, color theory, and accessibility; ability to apply and extend brand guidelines.

· Exceptional attention to detail, with strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple deadlines.

· Clear written and verbal communication; collaborative and service-oriented with cross-cultural sensitivity.

· Ability to gather requirements, iterate based on feedback, and prepare assets for both print and digital use.

· Commitment to CEF Culture Points and excellence in support of the Gospel mission.
