Child Creativity Lab is a small non-profit in Santa Ana, CA serving thousands of students every year with hands-on, creativity-enhancing programs. Our mission is to foster the next generation of critical thinkers, problem solvers, innovators, and leaders through hands-on creativity enhancing exploration. We cultivate creativity by providing students with the experiences they need to look at the world in new ways. We engage kids with Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) programs. Our approach to teaching uses the Design Thinking process and “STEAM” — the "A" (art) adds the ability for students to look at a situation from new and creative angles and inspires innovation.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in the arts, sciences, and education. They will have excellent communication skills and the desire to help students become their best selves. At Child Creativity Lab, our teachers are our mission in action. You will help a child discover all they can accomplish within themselves. The sky is the limit for the children we serve!
Responsibilities:
- Communicate curriculum effectively to teach students important STEAM concepts
- Facilitate and oversee STEAM Creativity workshops at various locations with other instructors/staff
- Prepare materials for scheduled workshops in our Depot for Creative Reuse
- Arrive before class times to prep and clean up after
Qualifications:
- Interest in education and experience teaching
- Creative, flexible, and able to adapt to classroom environments
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Professionalism while working in community partner and school environments
- Dependable attendance
- Automobile or access to other transportation REQUIRED
All training will be provided by Child Creativity Lab and teachers will be mentored and nurtured by our staff throughout the process. This is a great opportunity for students on education pathways, individuals interested in becoming a teacher, or purusing other kinds of work with children (Child Development, Developmental Psychology, etc).
This is a part time position that will be located at different sites throughout Orange County, mostly central county (SA, Irvine, Anaheim, Tustin, etc.) We can offer anywhere between 15-30 hours this summer, and there are many opportunities for a greater role if the candidate is interested!

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
