Why This Role Matters
As a Senior Accountant, you play a vital role in ensuring the financial integrity and accountability that support ChildCareGroup’s programs and funding partnerships. This position strengthens financial stewardship through accurate reporting, grant accounting, and compliance with regulations and internal controls. By partnering with Finance leadership, program staff, and external funders, the Senior Accountant helps ensure resources are managed responsibly so the organization can continue delivering high‑quality services to families and children.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and review financial reports, reimbursement requests, and grant‑related documentation in accordance with funding requirements.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of general ledger activity through monthly close, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Analyze financial data to ensure costs are reasonable, allowable, and properly allocated to programs and grants.
- Support audits and special projects by preparing documentation, reports, and detailed account analyses.
- Collaborate with Finance and program teams to strengthen internal controls, reporting accuracy, and financial processes.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA preferred.
- Four to seven years of progressive accounting experience with strong knowledge of GAAP and grant or program accounting.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with general ledger systems (Sage Intacct or similar preferred).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with careful attention to detail and deadlines.
