The Position:

We are seeking a full-time Facilities Assistant. This position is primarily responsible for the assistance in general repairs and maintenance as requested by the Facilities Supervisor and the Operations Manager.

What You’ll Do

• Perform maintenance and repairs on CFGC facilities and equipment using skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry, painting, and mechanical work
• Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete tasks efficiently
• Provide leadership and guidance to other Facilities Assistants
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspect, operate, and test equipment or fixtures to diagnose issues
• Set up rooms for meetings and company events
• Assist with pick-ups and deliveries as needed
• Take responsibility for miscellaneous maintenance tasks as assigned
• Complete all required safety training to operate equipment and tools
• Drive company vehicle to perform repairs or assist with deliveries across various sites
• Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm, some evenings and weekends are required as needed.
• Starting Salary: $20.00 - $24.50 per hour

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a continuously clean driving record; must be insurable under the Center’s automobile insurance policy
• 3–5 years of general maintenance experience required
• Proficiency in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing work
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills relevant to the role
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and plan work effectively
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated ability to complete projects and reports in a timely and accurate manner
• Commitment to quality and continuous improvement; detail-oriented
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work cooperatively and respectfully with colleagues at all levels
• Reliable and punctual, with a strong attendance record
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Enthusiastic commitment to the department’s success and the Center’s mission
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
