Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Art Therapist role spoitting time in two offices. One fiull time position meets clients in Haverford and Paoli, PA. The Second available position splits time in Center City, Phildelphia and Plymouth Meeting, PA.
The Art Therapist will provide individual and group art therapy sessions for children, adolescents, and families, using creative and expressive arts modalities to address mental health and developmental needs. Daily responsibilities include completing intake assessments, developing treatment plans, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and coordinating care with caregivers, schools, and other providers as appropriate. The role involves participating in case consultations, collaborating with the clinical team, and contributing to program development and outreach efforts. The Art Therapist is expected to uphold ethical standards, maintain appropriate boundaries, and foster a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive therapeutic environment.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in Art Therapy and Expressive Arts for individual and family treatment.
- Strong foundation in Mental Health theories in psychotherapy, including play therapy, assessment, treatment planning, and intervention.
- Master’s degree in Art Therapy reuired, Art Therapy credentials preferred (e.g., ATR, ATR-BC).
- Relevant state licensure or license eligibility for providing Art Therapy & Counseling Services in Pennsylvania (LPC required).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to engage children, adolescents, and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work on-site, manage a caseload, and collaborate effectively with colleagues, schools, and community partners.
