What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Support Specialist position at Child, Adolescent, and Parent Support?
Required:
· Bilingual in English and Spanish with the ability to fluently speak, read, and write in both languages
· 2-year degree in human services, education, or health/childcare related field
· Valid driver’s license and proof of car liability insurance
Preferred:
Family Support Specialists provide home visits, support, and advocacy to expectant parents and families with children who reside in Tama County. This position also provides crisis intervention services to Marshall County families with children under the age of 18. In this position you will provide parent education, promote optimal child development, help parents problem-solve to find solutions, assess family needs, and link them to resources.
