Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our growing team at ChikinJip. As a Server, you will play an essential role in creating outstanding dining experiences for our guests. Your responsibilities include taking orders, serving food and beverages, managing tables efficiently, and maintaining a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities
- Arrive on time and well-groomed in a clean ChikinJip uniform for every shift
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times
- Greet guests warmly and assist them upon arrival
- Present menus, answer questions, and help customers select food and beverages
- Demonstrate knowledge of the ChikinJip menu and make helpful recommendations
- Take accurate orders and enter them into the POS system
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally
- Understand basic cash handling and provide correct change
- Serve alcohol responsibly in accordance with Alabama state requirements
- Manage takeout/delivery orders efficiently
- Collaborate smoothly with fellow servers, hosts, and kitchen staff
- Address customer concerns or complaints with a calm, positive attitude
- Issue bills and process payments correctly
- Perform additional tasks assigned by management
Requirements
- Previous experience with cashier or POS systems preferred
- Strong attention to cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene
- Patient, customer-focused, and able to stay positive under pressure
- Excellent people skills with a naturally friendly attitude
- Responsible, honest, and dependable
- Strong communication, hospitality, interpersonal, and basic math skills
- Ability to read tables, anticipate guest needs, and respond proactively
- Team player who is always willing to help others and ask for help when needed
- Able to lift up to 35 pounds and perform continuous bending, reaching, and twisting
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
