Responsibilities
- Monitor security cameras and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity and ensure the safety of all areas.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including buildings, parking lots, and restricted zones, to identify potential security breaches or hazards.
- Control access points using advanced access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations of visitors, staff, and contractors.
- Respond swiftly to incidents or emergencies by following established protocols, including fire safety procedures, first aid administration, and emergency evacuation.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other noteworthy events with clarity and accuracy.
- Perform background checks on new employees or vendors as part of the onboarding process to ensure compliance with security policies.
- Engage in conflict de-escalation techniques when managing disputes or unruly individuals while maintaining professionalism and safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in physical security roles such as law enforcement, military service, or private security is highly desirable.
- Strong surveillance skills with familiarity in CCTV operation and monitoring systems.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and physical security patrols.
- Certifications in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and Taser use are preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures and fire safety protocols essential for quick decision-making during crises.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals while managing conflicts professionally.
- Familiarity with security regulations, loss prevention strategies, and compliance standards is required for success in this role.
- Physical fitness to perform routine patrols and respond promptly in high-pressure situations.
