Position Overview
Chief Safety Solutions is seeking dedicated Environmental Services Technicians to join our team at the Garner Outpatient Clinic. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to the highest standards of infection control and safety protocols.
Hourly Pay: $15.75, commensurate with experience
Part-Time | Monday–Friday 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) and 2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and terminal cleaning of patient care areas, offices, restrooms, and common spaces.
- Execute floor care procedures, including dust mopping, wet mopping, vacuuming, stripping, waxing, and buffing.
- Sanitize high-touch surfaces and ensure proper waste disposal, including hazardous and biohazardous materials.
- Restock supplies in restrooms and other designated areas.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Comply with all Joint Commission, OSHA, EPA, and facility-specific regulations.
- Report maintenance issues and safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare housekeeping or janitorial services preferred.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and obtain necessary clearances.
Training Requirements
- Completion of OSHA safety training (29 CFR 1910 standards).
- Participation in 20 hours of job-specific janitorial and infection control training (provided by employer).
