- Weekend availability is incredibly important for this event
- Although full availability for the full event is preferred, it is not required.
- ⏰ Great Hours! Day Shifts | Approx. 8–9 hrs each
What You Will Be Doing
- A uniform shirt and assignment will be given to you upon arrival on your first day.
- Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment, work surfaces, and serving areas, to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.
- Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock.
- Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
- Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience.
- Turn or stir foods to ensure even cooking.
- Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing them with utensils.
- Portion, arrange, and garnish food, and serve food to waiters or patrons.
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment.
- Previous supervisor experience in a related role preferred.
- Experience as a cook or related role required.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision required.
- Proven knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage.
- Food safety certification required.
- Demonstrates basic math and counting skills. Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Reliable Transportation
- 6 months of relevant experience in your applicable role
- Authorized to Work in the U.S.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs and remain on your feet for extended period
