Responsibilities
- Lead swimming lessons for individuals and groups, tailoring instruction to different skill levels and age groups
- Ensure the safety of all participants by monitoring water activities and enforcing safety protocols
- Provide clear, constructive feedback to help students improve their swimming techniques and water confidence
- Maintain a clean, organized pool area and ensure all equipment is in proper working order
- Communicate effectively with clients and parents about progress, safety guidelines, and upcoming classes
- Respond promptly to emergencies using first aid, CPR, AED operation, and other lifesaving skills as needed
- Foster a fun, inclusive environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth
Requirements
- Previous lifeguard experience or certification (including AED operation and CPR/First Aid) is highly preferred
- Strong swimming skills with experience in various strokes and water safety techniques
- Experience working with children or in childcare settings demonstrating patience and excellent behavior management skills
- Excellent communication skills to engage with students, parents, and team members confidently
- Proven leadership abilities through team sports or coaching roles in sports teams or clubs
- Knowledge of health club or gym environments is a plus but not required
