Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Shipping and Receiving Clerk / Warehouse Associate role based in Elmhurst, IL. We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented employee to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will manage incoming and outgoing shipments, verify inventory accuracy, and ensure our logistics operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and prioritizes workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Unload incoming delivery trucks and inspect goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and bills of lading.
- Prepare, pack, label, and stage outgoing orders for carrier pickup.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using our warehouse management system.
- Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse workspace.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse logistics.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Familiarity with inventory software, scanners, or basic computer logging.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to get certified).
