What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduler position at Chief Buildings?
Chief Buildings is seeking a Scheduler to join the Chief team. In this role, you will coordinate production schedules and ensure materials move efficiently through fabrication and assembly to meet delivery deadlines. You’ll play a key role in keeping operations on track by aligning resources, timelines, and priorities across departments. To be successful in this position, you should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Education:
- High School Diploma, or GED, preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
- Meet daily production targets to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Analyze production documents and issue work orders to maintain standard part inventory.
- Use data analysis to support raw material planning and finished goods fulfillment.
- Create production schedule and prioritize job-orders for production optimization.
- Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
- Possess strong computer skills and knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office, IFS, SigmaNEST, and Steel Projects.
- Strong math skills
- Good customer service/phone skills
- Must be detail-oriented
- Must have the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines
- One to three years of production scheduling experience preferred but will train the right candidate.
