Loader

Chief Buildings is seeking a Loader to join the Chief team. In this role, you will be responsible for properly packaging and labeling finished products and loading them onto flatbed or enclosed trailers. You’ll play a key role in ensuring products are handled safely and efficiently for on-time delivery. To be successful in this position, you should be detail-oriented, safety-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• May operate one or more of the following: overhead crane, forklift, shag tractor and trailer, and other material handling equipment.
• Perform all duties safely and efficiently while using the required safety equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all quality standards and inspection procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance on assigned machines.
• Complete routine paperwork and data entry tasks.

Education:

• High School Diploma, or GED, preferred.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

• Strong math skills.
• Ability to interpret drawings to calculate weights and select proper lifting devices.
• Comfortable working at heights up to 14 feet.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.
• Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and industrial tractors & trailers.
• Ability to safely handle and move materials using appropriate equipment.
• Capable of completing routine paperwork and data entry tasks.
• Able to safely lift and handle materials weighing up to 70 pounds.
• Works effectively with minimal supervision.

Shift:

• 2nd Shift 4:30pm-3:00am
