Our sports officials help facilitate games for a multitude of Adult Sports leagues. Officials strive to apply rules, promote fair play, while demonstrating courtesy, self-control, integrity and are non-biased.
Who We're Looking For: We are seeking passionate leaders who thrive in fast-paced environments and are dedicated to upholding the integrity and sportsmanship of our community leagues. If you have the physical stamina to stay in the action, a commitment to fairness, and the confidence to guide players through intense competition, we invite you to help us elevate the game.
Scheduling: Hours are flexible and assigned based on a combination of your availability, officiating experience, and the positive impact you make on-site for our players and community. Games run Monday-Friday, approximately 6:00pm-11:00pm at a variety of sites.
This arrangement does not constitute a guarantee of minimum hours, continuous employment, or a fixed work schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce League Rules: Apply official rules and league-specific bylaws consistently and impartially to maintain competitive integrity.
- Game Management & Safety: Proactively manage the game environment, monitor player conduct, and ensure a safe, sportsmanship-focused atmosphere.
- Physical Fitness & Positioning: Maintain the physical conditioning necessary to navigate the playing surface effectively, ensuring optimal positioning to make accurate calls and monitor game flow.
- Conflict Resolution: De-escalate disputes between players or coaches firmly and professionally, upholding the organization’s Code of Conduct.
- Administrative Documentation: Accurately record game results, ejections, and injuries, and submit all required reports immediately following matches.
- Preparation & Professionalism: Arrive punctually, inspect equipment and facilities for safety hazards, and act as a professional representative of the organization at all times.
- On-Site Coordination: Maintain clear, proactive communication with league supervisors and on-site staff regarding game progress, facility issues, or behavioral concerns.
- Growth & Retention: We value long-term team members; high-performing officials will be prioritized for retention and may be invited to stay on staff for subsequent seasons- though this is not guaranteed.
Requirements:
- Has played or officiated volleyball for at least 5 years.
- Proven ability to remain non-biased under pressure.
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- Commitment to sportsmanship and professional conduct.
