POSITION SUMMARY:
The purpose of this position is to ensure all guests feel welcome and have a positive first impression of the brand and the restaurant. The greeter is responsible for managing the lines as guests wait to order, welcoming all guests to the restaurant, helping them navigate the menu, and answering any initial questions they may have.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Welcome guests with a warm and energetic greeting, let them know where to find the menu, and offer to answer any questions they may have in order to create a great first impression.
• Direct guests where to order their food and/or where to get in line in so that any confusion is eliminated.
• Interact with a smile and in a friendly, approachable manner so that guests feel comfortable to ask questions.
• Stage guests inside and outside the restaurant when there are lines so that guests see that there is order to the line and they are willing to wait for service.
• Learn about the menu and the sauces in order to answer guests’ questions accurately and be able to make a recommendation of your own favorites or frequently ordered items.
• Other related responsibilities.
REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE:
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability and willingness to smile and interact in a genuinely energetic and warm manner towards guests and co-workers
Ability to communicate in English to guests and respond to their questions
Ability to work in a high energy, fast paced environment
Previous experience in a guest or customer facing position preferred, but not necessary
EDUCATION:
No formal education beyond high school experience required
