About the Role
We’re looking for a Quality Engineer – a person who will be a vital member of our quality team and who will ensure products conform to customer specifications.
What You’ll Do
- Understand customer requirements and ensure they are met - participate in the inspection process
- Create QA Plans via HighQA and review with the shop floor (arm the floor for success pre-job)
- Automate inspection data migration into HighQA
- Autogenerate inspection reports via HighQA
- Effectively compile digital cert packages
- Develop and maintain QMS procedures and other functional elements of the quality management system in accordance with ISO9001 and AS9100
- Standardize inspection asset care program and overall equipment effectiveness for automated inspection equipment including CMMs
- Provide manufacturability and measurability input during contract review
- Develop, implement, and maintain statistical data for product and processes
- Document customer concerns and product nonconformities including the development/implementation of corrective actions
- Assist in the management and maintenance of the inspection calibration system
- Assist in the development and implementation of PPAPs, including SPC
- Interface with customers and suppliers through submission of deviation requests and SCARs

Required Experience / Qualifications
- 5 years working in the quality field, preferably as a quality engineer within precision machining
- Strong understanding of GD&T and precision automated measurement methods is required
- 5 years working with CMMs
- Experience working in an ISO 9000, ISO9001, AS9100, IS16949, ISO 13485 or related Quality system environment
- Experience with First Articles, FMEA and /or PPAPs
- Experience with SPC software is required.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, belt certification is a plus.
- Internal auditing / supplier auditor experience a plus
