What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media/Marketing Assistant position at Chick-fil-A?
Our Chick-fil-A restaurants are seeking marketing minded team members who want to bring their experience to our growing business. The Social Media/Marketing Assistants will report directly to the Area Director of Marketing and will be responsible for creating meaningful interactions with our guests through emotional connection marketing efforts in-store, at events and online, by leveraging food, people, fun and community.
Position Type:
Part-Time, 10-20 hours per week
Pay Type:
$18-22/hr
Responsibilities:
- Protect the Chick-fil-A brand
- Follow all Chick-fil-A Brand Visual Identity Standards, Restaurant Social Guidelines and Best Practices
- Preemptively inform store leadership of any events, promotions, or Team Member important information
- Offer insight and ideas for promotional events and content to align with seasonal and national campaigns.
- Follow the restaurant’s monthly marketing calendar to create content aligned with local campaigns.
In-store Marketing:
- Sample items (LTOs), during peak time periods
- Blitz surrounding businesses as discussed with the Director of Operations and Area Marketing Director monthly
- Update Community Board through providing content and coordinating execution seasonally
- Replace flowers as needed in restaurant's dining room
- Update display cases with merchandise as needed
- Ensure all POP and signage is up to date, in good condition and replace as needed
- Decorate and maintain store for events and holidays
- Promote the Cow as the mascot or escort during events
- Represent as community connector at in-store and external events (including Spirit Nights)
- Responsible for visual presence at ADPs
- Create flyers as needed when Office Administrator is not available
- Learn brand standards for Chick-fil-A (CFA home)
- Use Canva
- Send Custom Support for approval, make changes as needed
Social Media:
- Create a social media calendar for each month detailing the type of post and date, ensuring to include a variety of Team Member photos/videos, LTO products, community/hospitality events, and more.
- Respond in a timely manner to all comments, reviews, and private messages received through social media platforms, in a kind respectful manner consistent with brand voice.
- Report opportunities and successes to Marketing Director
- Provide monthly invoices for Facebook post boosting and ads spent to Area Director of Marketing.
Spotlight:
- Understand how to use Spotlight to drive Chick-fil-A App users to our restaurants with targeted rewards by strategically using filters on an as needed basis
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Possess a servant heart and outgoing personality
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when necessary
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Excellent computer skills

- Knowledgeable in photography, videography, design and editing
- Proficient in social media platforms:
- Tik Tok
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to take initiative while staying within brand guardrails
- Ability to work 20 hours per week
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes both AM and PM hours weekly, including Saturdays based on store needs
- Possesses Driver’s License and reliable transportation for travel to and from restaurant locations and event sites
- Trained in order taking and meal fulfillment
