Manager: Job Description

We’re seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Manager who is passionate about leading people and delivering exceptional service. The ideal candidate embodies Chick-fil-A’s core values, embraces our unique culture, and leads with a servant’s heart.


Our managers demonstrate strong character, initiative, and a constant sense of urgency in everything they do. In this role, you’ll partner with senior leadership to oversee daily operations, ensure team accountability, and uphold the highest standards of operational excellence and guest experience.



The position focuses on two key areas: driving efficient restaurant operations and coaching team members to reach their full potential. As a leader, you’ll set the tone through your actions—modeling excellence, developing others, and fostering a positive, people-centered environment.


Manager: Core Responsibilities - To be remarkable in shift operations.

Upholds: CFA Standards and Culture

  • Upholds brand standards 
  • Upholds food safety and quality standards 
  • Upholds restaurant cleanliness and safety standards


Creates: Restaurant Environment

  • Creates daily restaurant experience for the team through positive feedback
  • Creates daily plans for running assigned area of restaurant 


Coaches: Team Leaders and Team Members

  • Coaches toward resource and tool alignment
  • Leverages Development Manual to develop others 


Anticipates: Restaurant Problems

  • Anticipates and solves capacity problems, i.e., throughput, staffing, etc.
  • Anticipates communication breakdowns 
  • Anticipates cash flow and management issues 


Allocates: Resources

  • Allocates and delegates daily tasks 
  • Allocates weekly personnel resources and staff 
  • Allocates daily personnel resources


Manager: Key Qualifications and Requirements

  • Ability to succeed in an extremely fast-paced environment
  • Strong people skills with a desire to serve Team Members
  • Strong commitment to superior customer service
  • Ability to manage Team Member behavioral and performance issues
  • Ability to work in a team environment with shared ownership and responsibility
  • Prior experience as shift lead, crew lead, supervisor, team lead, restaurant assistant manager and/or restaurant manager is required

  • Must be 18 years old
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be available to work weekends

Work schedule

  • 10 hour shift
  • Weekend availability
