What Does a Back of House (Kitchen) Chick-fil-A Team Member Do?
A Chick-fil-A team BOH member performs food preparation duties consisting of cooking food, assembling sandwiches and other food products, prepping salads, washing dishes, etc.
Job Description:
Chick-fil-A at Shepherdstown Crossing is seeking both full-time and part-time Team Members for Kitchen / Back of House (BOH) positions.
Our Team Members must be caring, friendly, and have a genuine heart to serve others. They have a passion for people and serving others, have strong character, take initiative and work with a sense of urgency at all times. The Back of House/Kitchen position which would entail working in the kitchen, prepping and cooking food to ensure quality and accuracy of orders. Attention to detail and warm hospitality make a difference in all areas of our restaurant.
In your role, you are encouraged to bring your positive contagious energy to work every day as you learn, grow and perform your job to your highest ability.
Position Type:
- Full-time or Part-time
- Daytime or Closing Shifts (premium pay for closing shifts)
- Must Have Weekend Availability (Closed Sundays)
Team Member Responsibilities:
- Work in all areas of the kitchen
- Cook and prepare food
- Wash dishes by hand and also by using a dishwashing machine
- Work Quickly and Efficiently
- Be a friendly, encouraging team player with a positive attitude
- Follow Food Safety and Cleanliness Guidelines
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Genuinely friendly and caring
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency
- Ability to work in a team environment with shared ownership and responsibility
- Ability to do rigorous work, including standing up for 5-8 hours
- Some heavy lifting is required up to 40 pounds

Education/Experience:
- Prior restaurant experience is a plus but not required
