We want to ensure all guests receive signature Chick-fil-A service and food.Job Description and Duties The Human Resources Intern will acquire practical experience while working in a high energy, fast paced, customer and employee focused restaurant. You will work directly with the Owner/Operator and key personnel within the Leadership Team, assisting with human resource and administrative functions. The intern will learn all aspects of the HR division of the business including: Compensation and Benefits, Employee and Labor Relations, Employment Law, Organizational Behavior, HR Strategy, Workforce Planning and Staffing, and Performance Management. The ideal candidate has the ability to effectively execute tasks with enthusiasm and attention to detail. They understand the sensitivity of the information they have access to and are committed to upholding compliance standards. The candidate will possess excellent communication, organizational and time-management skills.ResponsibilitiesAssist with recruiting and onboarding of new team membersAssist with the coordinating of training schedules and plansMaintain documentation and personnel recordsAssist with team member engagement initiatives and eventsProduce professional documents and presentationsWork alongside team members to serve guests in the restaurantLearning ObjectivesIdentify, execute and analyze recruiting plan directivesDevelop consulting skills to build effective relationships with managers while partnering with them in fulfilling their HR strategyUtilize written and verbal communication skills to articulate HR strategies, initiatives, options and adviceDevelop and enhance relationships with team members and guests Produce high quality documents utilizing Word, Excel, and/or PowerPointProduce high quality reports and presentationsDemonstrate effective personnel record keepingExposure to business connections and networkingExposure to and development of executive and leadership skillsImprove communication skills with professionals within the business communityAcquire experience working on a team and being a team playerExposure to real world experience related to what is learned in classWorking at a Chick-fil-A® restaurant is more than a job – it’s an opportunity for teamwork and leadership development in a positive, people-focused environment.
