What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front of House Team Member position at Chick-fil-A?
Summary: At Chick-fil-A 5th Street Highway, we believe that inspiring, motivating and serving each person that comes into contact with our restaurant is top priority. As a front of house team member, you will be interacting with guests and taking care of their needs while serving them with excellence. Team members will be led under the direction of the leader on shift and will communicate with them for tasks to complete. We ask that all of our team members represent the culture of Chick-fil-A and our restaurant’s vision while working.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Required to work in service positions, including cashier, host and drive-thru
- General cleaning
- Ensure each guest always has a memorable experience
- Use our CORE 4 model to serve guests: eye contact, smile, speak enthusiastically & always say “My Pleasure”
- Greeting and serving guests with enthusiasm, courtesy and hospitality
- Maintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training
- Ensure a fast speed of service
- Maintain area cleanliness during shift
- Taking orders with speed & accuracy
- Always adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Maintain a positive attitude that contributes to a team atmosphere
Qualifications and skills
- Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours and lift at least 40 lbs
- Friendly and outgoing
- Organized
- Able to multitask
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work at a quick, yet efficient and thorough pace
- Calm under pressure
- Team oriented, adaptable, dependable and strong work ethic
- Basic math skills
- At least 15 years of age or older
- Honors and encourages others to follow the vision and values of the restaurant and the Owner/Operator
