Dining Room Host/Hostess

Role Summary

Dining Room Host/Hostess are responsible for keeping the dining room a clean, welcoming environment that is well maintained throughout their assigned shift. It is essential for dining room hosts/hostesses to have great time management skills as well as being as personable with guests in our dining room. The goal of our dining room host position is to always have a friendly, bubbly presence with our guests when they’re dining in with us and to always keep the dining room looking presentable.

Essential Requirements

• Must be able to prioritize tasks and manage their time, and be able to multitask if necessary
• Must be available to work Friday or Saturday or both 
• Capable of lifting objects up to 50 lbs.
• Be comfortable cleaning up spills and messes (including but not limited to food/beverage spills, bodily fluids and occasionally address restroom resetting)
• Be personable and outgoing with guests in the Dining Room 
• Be able to prioritize responsibilities effectively based on the needs of the dining room 

Essential Responsibilities 

• Interacting with guests in a meaningful way, (ask about day, or how their meal is, offering any additional condiments or sauces)
• Mopping the dining room regularly
• Changing trash compactors regularly 
• Keeping up with bathroom maintenance (changing paper towels/toilet paper, cleaning the toilets, baby changing areas, cleaning mirrors, sanitizing countertops, replacing air freshener )
• Cleaning the inside of the trash compactors 
• Cleaning and sanitizing tables
• Changing outside trash cans as well as any trash around the property 
• Cleaning the windows and window sills
• Wiping down the borders of all the POP signage
