As a Kitchen Prep Team Member, you will play a key role in preparing cold menu items, ensuring produce quality, and maintaining an organized prep area that supports smooth restaurant operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare cold menu items such as salads, fruit cups, wraps, parfaits, and catering trays.
- Wash, cut, portion, and organize produce according to Chick-fil-A standards.
- Inspect fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients to ensure freshness and quality.
- Rotate, label, and store products using proper food safety procedures.
- Maintain prep stations with clean, organized, and fully stocked ingredients.
- Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
- Prepare and restock cold ingredients for front-of-house and kitchen use.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate low-stock items to leadership.
- Assist with unloading and organizing deliveries as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness by wiping counters, sanitizing surfaces, sweeping floors, and taking out trash.
- Wash dishes and maintain a clean prep and kitchen environment.
- Lift and carry boxes, produce, and supplies up to 50 lbs.
- Assist with other kitchen or front-of-house tasks as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous restaurant, food prep, or kitchen experience is a plus.
- Communication: Strong communication skills to work effectively with kitchen and leadership teams.
- Skills: Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attributes: Responsible, accountable, detail-oriented, and trustworthy.
- Attitude: Positive, eager to learn, and committed to maintaining high standards.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with Shift Supervisors, Managers, Directors, and the Operator.
- Punctuality: Must be reliable and able to consistently meet shift start times.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift.
