Duties and Responsibilities:
- This role involves direct guest engagement from the moment a customer walks through the door until they leave the restaurant, ensuring every visitor receives attentive and personalized service
- Employees in this role use established service protocols like CORE4 and 2nd Mile Service, which guide interactions towards going above and beyond basic customer expectations
- Working as a host or hostess, team members become the face of the restaurant
- They greet guests promptly, assist with seating and ordering processes, and anticipate guests' needs such as helping with children or providing meal accompaniments
- Especially during high-volume periods, hosts and hostesses help manage guest flow and explain service processes to ensure a smooth dining experience
- Beyond serving guests, the role involves coordination with team leaders and managers to relay feedback about dining room conditions or customer concerns
- Additionally, hosts and hostesses play a part in upholding order accuracy by confirming details and occasionally delivering meals, complete with necessary condiments like ketchup, straws, and napkins
- After meals are served, they check in with tables to offer beverage refills and assist with clearing waste once guests finish dining
- Sundays off provide a valued day of rest for team members, reflecting the companys respect for employee well-being
