As an Assistant Kitchen Manager at Chick-fil-A Mebane, you will be a key leader in our Back of House (BOH), managing daily operations, ensuring exceptional food safety, and coaching a high-performance team to meet speed-of-service goals. Key Responsibilities Operational Excellence: Lead BOH shifts with a focus on speed, accuracy, and food quality, ensuring all products meet Chick-fil-A standards. Team Communication & Accountability: Foster a positive, team-first environment. Conduct pre-shift huddles, uniform checks, and set clear expectations for staff. Systems & Compliance: Execute daily "safe critical" checks, self-assessments, and utilize checklists to maintain a spotless, organized kitchen. Inventory & Waste Management: Oversee stocking, manage bread pulls, and monitor waste to control food costs. Task Delegation: Actively delegate tasks (trash/cardboard management, cleaning, restocking) to Team Members to ensure a "refreshingly clean" environment. Set Ups & Transitions: Manage smooth, high-energy shift transitions and ensure stations are properly set up for success. Coaching & Development: Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to Team Members. Weekly Cleans: Oversee scheduled deep cleaning tasks and maintain equipment. Breaks: Efficiently manage team breaks to maintain maximum productivity and speed of service expectations. What We’re Looking For Experience: 1+ years of restaurant or kitchen leadership experience (preferred). Leadership: Strong ability to lead by example, delegate effectively, and hold others accountable. Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and management. Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make fast decisions under pressure. Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs. Availability: Open or closing availability, including Fridays and Saturdays.
