Overview:

The Catering Specialist at Chick-fil-A Dauphin Street in Mobile, AL is looking for an experienced Catering Leader to help maintain and grow our outside sales division. This person must be self-driven, highly organized and be responsible for all catering sales for the business, including processing, packaging and delivering orders to customers. They will also be responsible for communicating with other team members in the organization and upholding the overall reputation of the brand. We are recruiting for an operationally hands-on, results-oriented individual.

Position Type:

• Part-time 20-30 hours/ week
• Specifically Wednesday- Friday 530am-1pm and occasional Monday and Tuesday mornings as needed

Key Daily Responsibilities:

• Prepare setups for catering orders, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
• Create and implement new systems around catering and outside sales for growth and consistency.
• Communicate with guests to confirm orders and provide exceptional service.
• Growing catering sales from local businesses through face-to-face contact and phone
• Deliver all catering delivery orders with Chick-fil-A catering vehicle
• Keep catering vehicle clean, organized & maintained
• Assist the kitchen team in preparing catering orders as needed
• Package food and beverage items and checks for product quality and consistency.
• Maintain clear communication with the Leadership Team regarding upcoming orders.
• When not handling catering duties, assist in other roles throughout the restaurant, including kitchen and front-line support, providing customer service to our guests
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment
• Work special events as needed/available

Job Requirements

• Clean driving record
• Experience in the food service industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to respond well to leadership/authority and coaching.
• Ability to multi-task with a self-motivated positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be willing to be hands-on in an operational role, serving side by side with other team members and leaders.
• Must love to smile & connect with people, make eye contact & speak enthusiastically.
• Display a desire to grow and continuously improve him/herself.
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position which includes, but is not limited to, standing for up to 8 hours and lifting up to 50lbs.
• Model and support clear communications between the front and kitchen staff.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the brand and menu items, and stays well-informed of current promotions.
• Practices sanitation and safety procedures.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with Senior Leadership /Operator to fulfill business needs.
• Flexibility to work early mornings for large orders
• Proficiency in pos software related to catering and sales management.
• Must have a valid U.S. Drivers License.
• High school diploma and/or furthered education
