What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Manager position at Chick-fil-A | Bothell?
***Must be at least 18 years old and available to work opening (6:00 am - 3pm) or closing shifts (3 pm to 11:30pm) and have Friday and Saturday availability***
Pay between $23.00 and $23.50 per hour depending on availability and experience.
The Kitchen Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the kitchen. They are a results-driven, forward-thinking partner, demonstrating visionary leadership, ensuring the overall effort of the kitchen team members achieve the business’s goals. He/she reports to the Kitchen Director.
Responsibilities
- Lead by example.
- Ensure all food safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Ensure Team Member safety at all times.
- Ensure Team Members meet all Chick-fil-A Standards and Team Member Handbook requirements at all times.
- Accept full responsibility and accountability for the kitchen.
- Lead the Kitchen Team in executing the Winning Hearts Every Day Strategy during the shift:
- Great food through food safety performance, taste of food and food temperature.
- Fast and accurate service.
- Genuine Hospitality.
- Execute huddles to ensure all team members are on the same page.
- Encourage team members and create a fun and cared for environment for your team.
- Ensure daily and weekly checklists are completed.
- Leave the restaurant better than you found it.
- Continuously assess all kitchen systems and procedures to ensure maximum safety, cleanliness, accuracy and productivity. Quickly resolve any operational issues and prevent future occurrences.
- Manage the cleanliness of the kitchen; ensure Chick-fil-A Bothell Canyon Park is “Back Stage Tour” ready during normal business hours.

- Communicates consistently with FOH (with a positive tone) to control the pace and flow of food.
- Is growth-minded and sets up shifts with a game plan to successfully break records.
- Can see the bigger picture needs of the restaurant beyond the position they are working in.
- Knows how to find most answers to problems that arise by utilizing other leaders, the IT Helpline, Pathways, etc.
- Avoids Red Screens at all costs. Has a game plan to get out of and stay out of red.
- Has a game plan and is ready to handle any emergency situation (power outage, injury, fire).
