Chichester School District is seeking a dedicated and passionate Middle School Social Studies Teacher to join our team for the 2026–2027 School Year.We are looking for a candidate who takes pride in their work and creates a creative, engaging, and student-centered learning environment. This individual will analyze students’ academic needs and prepare them for college, career, and civic success.
The Social Studies Teacher will plan and teach curriculum-aligned courses and collaborate with colleagues while encouraging the potential in every student. This teacher will be responsible for the overall coordination of instruction in their subject area, including executing well-developed lesson plans, accurately assessing student progress, and actively participating in school and district functions.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- 3–5 years of relevant classroom teaching experience at the high school level, with an understanding of adolescent developmental, social, and academic needs
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Current PA Secondary Social Studies Certification (7–12)
- Demonstrated understanding of educational technology integration in the classroom
- Demonstrated knowledge of effective instructional strategies for diverse learning styles and abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation, listening, and observational skills
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, parents, volunteers, and administrators from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to navigate challenging situations with discretion and diplomacy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
