Middle School Math Teacher 2025/2026

Chichester School District is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and skilled 7th Grade Math Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. This is a full-time position aimed at inspiring and challenging students in a supportive and innovative learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, rigorous mathematics instruction to 7th-grade students in topics such as Algebra, Geometry, and Pre-Algebra, in alignment with state standards and the district’s curriculum.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies, including hands-on activities, technology integration, and cooperative learning, to enhance student understanding and achievement.
• Assess student progress regularly, provide targeted feedback, and adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to discuss student progress and resolve issues when necessary.
• Participate in collaborative planning with the math department and attend professional development opportunities.
• Maintain accurate student records, including grades and other progress reports.
• Participate in school and district-wide events, activities, and meetings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
• PA Instructional Certificate: Math (Middle School Math 4-8 or Math 7-12)
• Criminal history and child abuse clearances (Acts 34, 151) and FBI Fingerprinting Clearance required.
• Previous experience teaching middle school math, preferably 8th grade, is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of middle school math concepts, including Algebra, Geometry, and Pre-Algebra.
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the varying needs of students.
• Passion for teaching and helping students succeed in mathematics.
