CPLC's Early Childhood Development (ECD) programs are committed to giving every child, regardless of circumstances at birth, an opportunity to succeed in school and life. HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?
YOU will:
- Support the Regional Program Director with oversight and management of all New Mexico (NM) Pre-K, Early Head Start, Preschool Head Start, and Childcare Programs located within the region.
- Work directly with Center Service Managers and closely with Content Area Coordinators and Specialists to ensure program sites are operating within the NM PreK Program Standards, Head Start Program Performance Standards and CPLC policies and procedures and to support children and families.
- Promote school readiness by preparing children and families for school and life success as it relates to this position.
- Actively always supervise children by sight and sound and in all environments.
- Maintain all health and safety regulations to create an optimum learning environment.
- Facilitate health practices to keep children safe in the outdoor and indoor environments.
- Directly supervise the Center Service Managers and Lead Teachers
- Indirectly oversee all program staff who report to the hiring managers within the region through a multi-level system and includes staff hires, evaluation, professional development, disciplinary action and employee discharges.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Education/Background:
- Associate’s in early childhood education or related field required, OR a Minimum of Child Development Associate (CDA) or New Mexico Child Development Certificate and willing to work towards requirements of a Bachelor’s Degree within a specific timeframe identified by the program.

Minimum of 2-years’ experience working with young children in an early childhood setting or a public-school setting at a grade level no higher than elementary school, as well as experience in supervision.

First Aid/CPR Certified or willing to obtain within the first 6 months of employment is required.

Health Determination/TB Skin Test.

Candidate may be required to pass a physical and all required background checks per Head Start, state, local and licensure regulations to include a Child Abuse and Neglect register check and obtain a level one fingerprint clearance card prior to start.
- Valid drivers’ license in good standing and proof auto insurance within the state of their residence.

Bilingual ability (Spanish/English) is preferred

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, especially Microsoft teams).
