About Cplc Arizona's Trauma Recovery Center Grant

CPLC is proud to have been awarded a grant from the Arizona Department of Health Services to pilot one of the first Trauma Recovery Centers in the state of Arizona! The Trauma Recovery Center serves recent victims of violent crime, including survivors of physical assault, sexual assault, gunshot wounds, stabbings, domestic violence and human trafficking. Clinical services are short-term and trauma-informed, providing individual and group psychotherapy as well as comprehensive clinical case management. Our team is fully bilingual Spanish/English speaking.

COMMUNITY-BASED ROLE

The team gets to work hybrid remotely, including in the office and the field. Services are provided by telehealth and in-person. Candidates must be willing and available to work in the office and field as required, during office hours.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

As Client Services Coordinator, your role is vital in connecting clients to the Trauma Recovery Center services. Day-to-day, you will manage client enrollment, coordinate intake appointments, facilitate group therapy sessions, and take care of some general administrative tasks. Your biggest impact will be in creating a welcoming, organized, and client-centered experience from first contact through ongoing care, contributing to overall program quality and accessibility.

  • Be the first point of contact, welcoming prospective clients, conducting initial screening calls, and providing clear information about eligibility and available services.
  • Coordinate scheduling and intake by managing intake appointments, group sessions, and referrals, ensuring a smooth transition from first contact to ongoing care.
  • Keep records accurate and confidential, maintaining detailed documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system and tracking logs, safeguarding sensitive client information.
  • Support clinicians and the treatment team by collaborating with case managers and other providers, contributing to service planning, and helping facilitate structured group sessions.
  • Provide flexible, community-based support, covering front desk duties when needed, assisting clients in person or virtually, and traveling into the community for outreach or to deliver services where families feel most comfortable.

  • You are culturally aware and community-focused. You demonstrate respect for diverse cultural practices and have experience working with low-income and at-risk families.
  • You are a skilled communicator and collaborator. You can explain clinical options clearly, coordinate with treatment teams, and build trust with clients and families in challenging situations, in both English and Spanish.
  • You are adaptable and client-centered. You’re comfortable meeting clients where they are - whether in the office, homes, schools, or community settings. You are able to pivot and tailor services to meet their needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Meets Behavioral Health Technician criteria as defined in Office of Behavioral Health Licensing rules per the Arizona Administrative Code R9-20-204 and has:
    • Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of full-time behavioral health work experience, or
    • Associate degree and at least two years of full-time behavioral health work experience, or
    • Over 5 years of full-time behavioral health work experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Human Services, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of community based behavioral health services preferred.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license in good standing and proof of vehicle insurance
  • Ability to obtain fingerprint clearance card, CPR and First Aid.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English

Other Requirements

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed per program requirements.
  • Basic typing/computer skills.
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with consumers, community partners and team.
  • Demonstrated organization and time management skills and able to manage workload with multiple deadlines and competing demands.
  • Ability to attend required Child and Family Team training within one month of assuming position and participate in ongoing learning requirements.
