ASSISTANT PLANT MANAGER

Job Summary:

Responsible for oversight and direction of shift operations, ensuring compliance and cross-departmental communication to maintain continuity and operational excellence.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Champion a culture of safety by enforcing and improving CTI Safety Policies. Ensure all employees follow established safety standards and procedures.
• Direct all 3rd shift manufacturing and distribution activities, maintaining a smooth workflow from job creation through completion.
• Schedule, assign, and manage personnel and equipment for optimal efficiency and resource utilization.
• Oversee accurate pulling, receiving, and storage of raw materials and finished goods.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of inventory cycle counts.
• Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency, quality, and operational effectiveness across all departments.
• Maintain attendance records, conduct performance evaluations, and administer disciplinary actions as directed by the Plant Manager.
• Enforce company policies, rules, and regulations among employees and contractors.
• Communicate effectively with other shifts and departments to ensure production continuity and customer satisfaction.
• Other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.

Position Requirements:

• Good mechanical aptitude – manufacturing or fabrication experience is a plus. 
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or distribution (metals industry preferred).
• Strong understanding of inventory management, production scheduling, quality control, and personnel management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with ERP systems a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and production drawings.
• Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented.
• Demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
