Responsibilities
- Pick up the children from school and safely transport them to and from extracurricular activities using your own vehicle
- Assist with homework and provide encouragement and support as needed
- Prepare healthy after-school snacks
- Pack lunches for the following school day
- Encourage age-appropriate independence and responsibility, including helping the children tidy their bedrooms and put away sports equipment and personal belongings
- Plan engaging, age-appropriate activities and maintain a fun, positive atmosphere
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding schedules and the children's day
- Previous experience caring for school-age children
- High-energy, dependable, and engaging personality
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a home where parents occasionally work remotely
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Reliable personal vehicle for transporting the children (mileage reimbursement provided)
- Ability to manage multiple schedules and keep afternoons running smoothly
- Comfortable receiving the annual flu vaccine (required)
- Family has one large, friendly dog. No pet care is required
- Parking is readily available
