Position Summary
Chicago Male Clinic is seeking a Medical Specialist & Patient Coach with bookkeeping experience to provide exceptional patient care while supporting the daily clinical, administrative, and financial operations of our men's health practice.
This independent contractor is ideal for an experienced medical professional who is comfortable working directly with patients, discussing sensitive men's health concerns, and assisting with basic bookkeeping responsibilities. The successful candidate will be trained to perform Acoustic Wave Therapy under medical supervision.
Responsibilities: Patient Care
- Welcome and assist patients throughout their visit
- Conduct patient intake and collect medical information
- Schedule, confirm, and coordinate appointments
- Educate patients on treatment plans and reinforce provider recommendations
- Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient follow-up and ongoing care
- Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries
Clinical Duties
- Perform Acoustic Wave Therapy treatments under medical supervision (training provided)
- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment
- Assist providers during patient visits as needed
- Accurately document treatments in the EMR
- Clean, maintain, and organize clinical equipment and treatment areas
Bookkeeping & Administrative Duties
- Process patient payments through the point-of-sale system
- Perform daily reconciliation of payments, deposits, and cash receipts
- Enter invoices, bills, and expenses into QuickBooks Online
- Assist with accounts payable and payroll preparation
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Prepare daily and monthly financial reports as requested
- Assist with general office administration and recordkeeping
Qualifications Required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Minimum of 1 year of medical office or direct patient care experience
- Previous bookkeeping experience or experience with daily financial reconciliation
- Experience with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems
- Strong computer proficiency
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Professional demeanor and ability to discuss sensitive men's health issues
Preferred
- Medical Assistant certification
- Experience in men's health, urology, and/or family medicine
- Flexible schedule. Shifts Monday - Saturday.
Compensation
- $28.00–$33.00 per hour, based on experience
