The International Latino Cultural Center of Chicago (ILCC) is a Pan-Latino nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and increasing awareness of Latino cultures through various art forms.
Role Description
This is a volunteer role as a simultaneous translator/interpreter for the post-discussions at the Chicago Latino Film Festival that runs from April 3rd to April 14th, 2025! This volunteer will translate and facilitate for the directors to the audience in our Q&A. Translators will choose their schedules and have a say in the film they would like to facilitate and translate.
Qualifications
• Fluency in English and either of these languages:
- Spanish
- Portuguese
- Catalan
• Experience in translation, particularly in Spanish-to-English and English-to-Spanish translation or English-Portuguese
• Knowledge of terminology related to film in Spanish, English, and Portuguese
• Attention to detail and accuracy in translation
