Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Wire EDM Programmer/Machinist based in Cicero, IL. The responsibilities include programming and operating Wire Electrical Discharge Machines (EDM), conducting equipment setup, creating precision metal parts based on specified designs, and ensuring top-quality standards by monitoring performance and making necessary adjustments. The role also involves maintaining the machines and adhering to safety regulations while collaborating closely with the engineering and production teams to meet project requirements and timelines.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Computer Science and Programming, with the ability to write and optimize code for CNC/EDM machinery
- Experience in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, particularly in relation to machining software
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and its application in developing efficient programs for precision manufacturing
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience working with precision machining and familiarity with advanced metallurgy processes is highly desirable
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
