The Graphic Design & Production Specialist is responsible for preparing client-provided artwork for large-format production, including exhibit graphics, signage, and fabric graphics. This role ensures all files are production-ready, accurately scaled, and optimized for print, while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and brand consistency. Occasional design support and concept development may be required.

This position requires strong technical production skills, a deep understanding of large-format printing processes, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Size and adapt client-provided artwork for large-format production.

· Perform comprehensive preflight checks, including bleed, safe areas, scaling, and file setup

· Review and verify resolution, quality, and usability of incoming files.

· Ensure proper font handling (embedding, outlining) and image linking.

· Identify, troubleshoot, and correct file issues prior to production.

· Create detailed graphic panel layouts for client proofing, including placement within exhibits, dimensions, materials, and production notes.

· Prepare and finalize print-ready production files for signage, fabric graphics, and exhibit components.

· Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure accuracy of layout, typography, images, and file setup.

· Perform light manipulation or adjustments to client artwork when needed.

· Support occasional concept development and design work as assigned.

· Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.

· Communicate proactively regarding workload, timelines, and potential production issues.

· Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure smooth production workflow.

· Maintain organized file management, version control, and naming conventions.

· Assist with proofing cycles and client revisions, ensuring accuracy through final approval.

· Create purchase orders (POs) and coordinate closely with vendors to ensure timely and accurate completion of production materials.

· Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience in graphic production (tradeshow/exhibit industry experience required).
  • Strong knowledge of large-format production processes and prepress/preflight standards.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Solid understanding of color management, file preparation, and print workflows.
  • Strong understanding of typography, layout, resolution, and print production best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities; capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Formal design education or relevant certification preferred.
