Job Title: Project Manager
Summary: Project manager is responsible for the successful fulfilment of contracts with our customer. This is achieved by excellent organization, good communication, procurement of materials, managing schedules, coordinating deliveries, and problem solving.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Create accurate project submittals including schedules, shop drawings, and product literature for client review and approval Interface with estimators to review, plan, and organize jobs awarded to company
- Accurately determine quantities and costs of materials
- Utilize vendor web sites and applications to research products.
- Meticulously review documents for potential conflicts in operation of doors and hardware
- Identify and solve potential problems seen in plans and specs
- Utilize industry software to organize, order, manage, and track projects.
- Create accurate purchase orders for materials needed on job
- Communicate effectively with customers to resolve issues when they arise
- Interface with warehouse and shop to clarify project details
- Coordinate deliveries with client to meet construction schedule
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 5 years Door & Hardware Project Manager experience or Degree in Construction Management
- Full understanding of Microsoft Office software & Advanced understanding of Microsoft Outlook
- Full understanding construction documents / drawings. Reading, organizing, interpreting, & annotating.
- Comprehensive understanding of architectural door and hardware vendors, part numbers/nomenclature, and product applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using Emullion (ePWS) industry specific estimating/detailing software.
- Experience using Bluebeam Revu software.
