Chicago Chop House is seeking a professional, hardworking Fine Dining Busser to join our service team. ResponsibilitiesDining Room Preparation & Setup

Prepare all dining areas before service, ensuring readiness across three floors and outdoor seating.

Stock and organize bussing stations to maintain smooth service flow.

Set tables with linens, candles, plates, silverware, and napkins to Chicago Chop House standards.

Polish glassware, plates, silverware, and ensure all items are service-ready.
Guest Service & Table Maintenance

Serve water (offer bottled or tap) and bread promptly and professionally.

Refill beverages and assist in taking orders if a server or captain requests support.

“Mark” tables throughout the meal for upcoming courses.

Crumb, clear, and reset tables continuously while maintaining silent, unobtrusive service.

Monitor and maintain table cleanliness and presentation at all times.

Respond to guest requests with warmth, professionalism, and excellent communication.

Notify servers immediately if a request exceeds bussing responsibilities (e.g., ordering wine).
Team Support

Maintain cleanliness and stock levels at all bus stations.

Provide supplies to servers and bartenders throughout service.

Support bar operations—refill water, clear glassware, restock liquor, fruit, syrups, and glassware.

Replenish shared plates, glassware, and silverware on all floors throughout the shift.
End-of-Shift Duties

Assist in breaking down and resetting the entire restaurant each night, including all three dining rooms and outdoor areas.

Clean, polish, and restock glassware, plates, and silverware for the next shift.

Clean and polish all glassware in the dish pit.

Remove trash from all floors and maintain sanitation standards.

Previous experience in fine dining or upscale hospitality preferred.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

Ability to consistently walk and carry items up and down three flights of stairs.

Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Ability to obtain and maintain ServSafe Food Handler and ServSafe Alcohol certifications.

Availability to work a flexible schedule, including late nights, weekends, and holidays.
