Manager, Graphic Design
Position Overview:
The Chicago Bulls have a growing Creative Services team that is focused on ensuring that the Bulls stay relevant in a rapidly evolving fan landscape, and by establishing the team as a trailblazer in the creative space. In addition to being one of the sports teams with the largest worldwide following, the Bulls Creative Services team has established itself as one of the most innovative and respected practices in sports. We are looking for someone who wants to continue to help us push boundaries and grow one of the most iconic brands in sports world!
The Manager of Graphic Design will work closely with the Executive Director of Creative Services to ideate and design graphics and campaigns. The primary focus will be creating digital and print collateral the Chicago Bulls and Windy City Bulls. You will also participate in Content Studio brainstorms and help achieve team objectives with excellent creative execution. This person would need to be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a designer who is a conceptual thinker and a natural storyteller with solid experience in concept to execution of ideas.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, producing, and managing a wide variety of projects, both digital and print.
- Designing original pieces, including illustrations and infographics.
- Must have experience implementing campaigns, projects, and promotional events from conception to delivery.
- Some projects will require a mastery of Adobe Illustrator and working with vector files.
- Must be proficient in setting up and preparing files for print.
- Must be able to show a portfolio of previous design work to showcase experience and creativity.
- Working closely with all departments to create visuals that help achieve organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, art, visual communications or related concentration preferred.
- Four to five years experience as a graphic designer.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Procreate, and Microsoft Suite. Adobe Premier Pro and After Effects is a plus
- Skilled illustrators will be preferred
- Ability to create motion graphics and video is desired
- Ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Highly organized and strong time management abilities
- Works efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Initiative and dedication to challenge self and continually strive for improvement
