Automotive Sales Associate (Part-Time)
Chicago Autoplex Inc. - Reynolds, IN
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour to start, depending on experience commission on every vehicle you sell
About the role
Chicago Autoplex Inc. has been in business for nearly 3 decades and is expanding our Indiana retail presence. Operating just outside Reynolds, IN, we are looking for an automotive sales associate to help us kickstart our operations.

Part-time to start, with potential to grow into full-time as the dealership grows.
Schedule
- Monday - Wednesday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM (in office)
- Thursday - Saturday by appointment
- ~20 hours/week to start
What you'll do
- Greet and assist customers in person, by phone, and by appointment, and guide buyers through purchasing a vehicle
- Respond to online inquiries - leads from Facebook Marketplace, Cars.com, and our website go cold in minutes, and speed wins the sale
- Work the phones during slow periods: follow up with people who looked and didn't buy, past customers, and internet leads that never got a call back
- Photograph inventory and write, post, and refresh vehicle listings across our website and marketplaces so every car shows its best and stays visible
- Research pricing against comparable vehicles so nothing sits too long
- Follow up with Google reviews and referrals after every sale
- Help spot trade-in and acquisition opportunities
What we're looking for
- Outgoing, persuasive, and genuinely comfortable talking to people and on the phone
- Self-motivated - someone who fills a slow afternoon by chasing business, not waiting for it
- Thick-skinned about "no" and motivated by the commission upside
- Basic comfort using a smartphone/computer for photos and online listings
- Attention to detail, ability to work without supervision and excellent communication
- Comfortable being trusted with keys, records, and money
- Solid computer skills for data entry, email, and office software
- Comfortable scheduling customers Thu - Sat
- Professional, courteous and good customer service skills
- Valid driver's license
- Local to the White County / Reynolds area preferred
The first few months
We are in the process of refreshing our office space and branching out into retail - expect slow, quiet days to start while you get familiar with the space and our process. As you continue to make sales, we continue to expand and grow.
