Senior Architectural Designer
Chianis Anderson Architects is seeking a Senior Architectural Designer to join our growing team. We are looking for an experienced professional who can take ownership of project work, contribute to design and technical leadership, and help deliver high-quality architectural solutions from concept through construction.
Based in our newly renovated historic office in Binghamton, NY, you'll collaborate with a talented team of architects, designers, consultants, and clients on a diverse range of rewarding projects.

Your Role
This position offers the opportunity to contribute beyond production work, including project coordination, technical leadership, quality control, and mentoring. As a Senior Architectural Designer, you will be expected to take ownership of your work and contribute at a higher level across projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead preparation of construction documents and drawing sets
- Coordinate with consultants and manage technical aspects of projects
- Contribute to design development, detailing, and problem-solving
- Review and QA/QC project documents for accuracy and completeness
- Participate in client meetings and project coordination discussions
- Perform site visits, field verification, and construction phase support
- Help guide and mentor junior staff
- Support project teams in meeting budget, schedule, and quality goals

Qualifications
- Degree in Architecture or related field
· Architectural licensure is not required. Candidates pursuing licensure or interested in future licensure are encouraged to apply.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an architectural office (required)
- Candidates with more extensive experience are strongly encouraged to apply
- Demonstrated experience contributing to construction documents and built projects
Required Technical Qualifications
· Strong proficiency in Revit and working knowledge of AutoCAD (required)
- Strong understanding of building systems, materials, and construction methods
- Experience coordinating drawings across disciplines
- Familiarity with Bluebeam and MS Office Suite preferred
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to perform site visits and fieldwork
- Strong time management and ability to handle multiple project demands
Compensation & Benefits
- $30.00 – $35.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated technical capabilities.

Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), Monday–Friday
