At CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy our focus is patient-centered care. Analyzing lab testing is pretty complex. We depend on the knowledge and skills of our medical technologists when it comes to evaluating medical lab tests to determine what’s happening with our patients. They are vital to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases, accurately analyzing and reporting all lab tests according to procedures and regulatory guidelines. As an experienced and talented MLS II, you’ll function as an expert on the bench, as well as assist in administration of the lab. Love working in lab and analyzing results? What you’ll do:

• Appropriately perform and report waived a variety of moderately and highly complex test procedures
• Provide excellent patient care throughout the laboratory process within established turnaround times
• Assist in upkeep and maintenance of major automated equipment
• Acts as a group leader by assisting other team members
• Perform proficiency testing as assigned, participating in opportunities for continued education or training
• Assists with administration functions of the lab
• Adhere to all regulatory requirements
• Other duties as assigned
  
  
  

Qualifications

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Lab Science or Medical Technology, or related field defined by CLIA
• 2 years experience in a clinical laboratory
• Preferred: Certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or equivalent by ASCP
• Appropriately trained in clinical lab science

Pay Range

$30.47 - $44.19 /hour
